- my favorite author, anne lamott, tells this story of how her brother was trying to write a paper about birds that he had 3 months to write, and decided to wait till the night before to do it. they were at their family cabin and he was sitting at the kitchen table close to tears surrounded by paper, pencils, and books on birds. it was at this time his father sat down next to them, put his arm around him and said "bird by bird, buddy. just take it bird by bird" this is something i try to remember in my life daily. i always get so overwhelmed by the little things, i just need to remember one thing at time.....just, bird by bird.
A bunch of people keep asking me to come live at my house, but I think I'm running out of room... so I'll pass them onto you when they call:)

ReplyDeletei know a girl at kinetic rooms with this other girl who is getting married soon. anyway-she's pretty fun and i can see you guys actually getting along well. i can see if she has found someone else/even started looking yet. however, i don't think the wedding is until september so she may not need a place right away. sorry if my moving in with heather made some chaos for your living situation. the opportunity came and i wasn't sure if you were going to chicago or arizona, so i kind of just went ahead. i didn't mean to hurt your feelings if i did. i love you!
It's cheaper to live in Winston...if you're interested! I'll be your friend! I'm actually a much better friend now that I've made such huge mistakes this last year. It's interesting. I didn't realize how much growing up I needed to do until I got out of college. I still have growing up to do and I am most definitely working on it. Anyway...not trying to make this about me...just saying...price of living isn't as high here in Winston, yet it's close to your family. Just thought I'd suggest.
